Vice Ganda is known to give his all for the fans. The comedian was always vocal about his love for his supporters and like any other celebrity, Vice doesn’t want to disappoint them in any way. But sadly, there are times where he needs to step back and choose his health over everything else.
The box-office star was set to appear in the Kannawidan Festival in Ilocos Sur but certain medical issues prevented him from doing so. The official Facebook page of the comedian announced that he would be undergoing a “surgical procedure” to address the kidney stones that have been causing the Kapamilya star stomach pains for quite some time.
The abdominal pains that the stones were causing may have been too severe for Vice to handle. But rest assured that once the “It’s Showtime” host is fully recovered and has been given the go signal, he will reschedule the event in Ilocos Sur.
Now, according to Mayo Clinic’s official website, kidney stones are “hard deposits made of minerals and salts that form inside your kidneys.” They often form “when the urine becomes concentrated, allowing minerals to crystallize and stick together.”
Usually, treatment for this medical issue can be as easy as pain medications and lots of water. But in Vice’s case, surgery is needed since the stones might have gotten stuck in the urinary tract as it could cause some unwanted complications.
