Jelvin also said that if they knew they were going to meet with the man on that day, they would have prevented her from leaving. It was only then that they found out that the practice did not push through. The family then posted on Facebook, seeking her whereabouts. Based on an interview with the mother of the victim by Brigada, she said that the victim told her that she will be meeting with a seaman, and the mother even told her not to push through with her plan especially that the seaman has not sent a picture.
