It is with deep regret that Ehra and Michelle Madrigal announced on their respective social media accounts that their dad has passed away. According to GMA Network, their dad died on March 5 after suffering from kidney and liver complications.
Obviously close to her father, it was Ehra who first took to the Internet to write a lengthy post dedicated to her late dad. Provided in the post were photos taken from her and her husband Tom Yeung’s wedding last year, wherein the Kapuso actress shared their last dance as father and daughter.

An excerpt of her caption reads:
“…mahal na mahal kita, daddy!!! iniisip ko pa lang na hindi na kita makaka-usap at mayayakap, ang hirap hirap na. i don’t know how i’ll get through this but i’ll continue praying for more strength. … ‘till we dance together in heaven again! i love you with all my heart!!! paki-kamusta na lang din po kami sa ama at ina!”

Only hours later, another ‘Daddy’s Girl’ Michelle Madrigal also honored her late father through an Instagram post. Instead of a recent photo with her dad, the celebrity mom opted for a throwback snapshot taken during her father’s 50th birthday. It can be recalled that the daughter went home to the Philippines late in February to visit her then-hospitalized dad.

“This is how I wanna remember you… Sitting on your lap like I always did growing up, happy and content. This was taken on your 50th Bday celebration. Sayang ,we didn’t make it to your 60th next month. … I’m glad in that short amount of time we spent in the hospital, we still made memories. … I felt your love & sincerity when you said “salamat umuwi ka para sakin”. We may not see each other anytime soon…. but One day!!! For now, please watch over us from Heaven.
