Another distressed Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Saudi Arabia has been rescued by authorities through the help of netizens and social media.
According to Facebook user Rey Eduard Quiblat Umel, the Filipina domestic helper named MindaLngka Po based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia was successfully rescued by authorities mainly from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh after her video went viral on social media yesterday.
In the video, an OFW whose identity was not disclosed could be seen being harassed by her employer who is trying to pin her down to be able to sexually assault her.
The poor domestic helper was trying so hard to resist and was heard shouting “No” and “Stop” but the male employer continues to harass her.
Although it is crucial to locate the victim since there are very limited details, authorities were able to track her and arrange her immediate rescue in less than 48 hours.
