An awkward moment ensued after this elderly woman from Eat Bulaga’s “Sugod Bahay” segment accidentally made a blunder on national television.

On the noontime show’s episode last February 14, the hosts were interviewing an elderly lady who was chosen in their regular “Sugod Bahay” segment. During this segment, the studio hosts such as Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Allan K chooses a lucky contestant who will receive prizes from the show.

However, the cards have been played against the show hosts when they were surprised by the contestant’s blunder on-air. During the show, “Eat Bulaga” hosts Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, and Maine Mendoza were interviewing the elderly contestant, who also happens to be a devoted Muslim.

Before bring presented the prizes, the contestant expressed her gratitude towards the hosts of the show. She was quoted as saying: “Salamat din sa lahat ng ABS-CBN.”
The hosts and the studio audience roared in laughter after the contestant mistakenly expressed her gratitude to the rival network. Right after blurting out those words, the elderly contestant was quick to correct her mistake.
Surprisingly, the show took this on-air awkward moment very well. On GMA Network’s site, they chalked up the mistake to the contestant’s ecstatic feelings during the show:
