Our elders say that far-flung areas are often where supernatural entities reside. This, apparently, was experienced first-handedly by Myrtle Sarrosa when she was at Eastern Samar for an advocacy tour. The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum, along with a group, got stranded in the province for a couple of days due to typhoon Basyang. She narrated:
“We had to wait it out till the evening where the rain had already stopped and the government had already cleared a bit of the road from the mud from the landslide for cars to cross.”

The group then passed by a long and dark stretch of road. That was when their peaceful ride took on a spine-chilling turn.
“Walang mga bahay. It was just the road with small barangays in between but mostly just trees. Around 40 minutes after midnight, we saw something weird… There was a child wearing a bluish white shirt probably around 10 years old in the middle of the road. He was in a crouching position with his arms and hands wrapping around his head to his face.”

Myrtle recounted how they felt after seeing a mysterious form in the middle of this uninhabited location, specifically at past midnight. In the footage, the group squealed after noticing the ‘child’ while another one could be heard: “Wag tayong titigil. Wag kayong titigil! May bata sa gitna ng… Totoo!”

The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum then decided to check the vehicle’s dash camera, only to see blob-like figure, different from what she claimed they actually saw.
“Siguro it was a spirit of a child that passed away during the typhoon in the past, siguro. While our staff there just told us that the area we crossed was possibly around the Brgy. Omawas, Maydolong, E. Samar where a lot of weird things can be seen according sa mga matatanda.”
Myrtle said that they thought of stopping the car as well, but the area was thought to be NPA territory.
